The Jerusalem Post had to issue a clarification after a tweet appeared to suggest that the International Cricket Council had accused Israel of committing war crimes.
The Israeli news website were promoting an article entitled “Israeli lawmakers respond to ICC: dismantle Palestinian authority”, the ICC in question being the International Criminal Court. But an oversight led to the tagging of @ICC, the Twitter handle of international cricket’s governing body.
To clarify, the International Cricket Council was inadvertently tagged in the above tweet. They did not accuse Israel of war crimes, but rather the International Criminal Court (@IntlCrimCourt) made the statement.

A correction was made in a reply to their original tweet, explaining that “the International Cricket Council was inadvertently tagged in the above tweet. They did not accuse Israel of war crimes, but rather the International Criminal Court made the statement.”
The International Criminal Court’s Twitter handle is @IntlCrimCourt.
The ICC have not commented on the matter.
