David Warner shaves head bald to show support for Covid-19 fighters

by Wisden Staff 1 minute read

Australia opener David Warner has shaved his head bald as a show of support for those on the frontlines of the battle against Covid-19.

Warner shared a time-lapse footage of him taking the razor to his hair on Instagram, saying: “Been nominated to shave my head in support of those working on the frontline #Covid-19 here is a time lapse. I think my debut was the last time I recall I’ve done this. Like it or not??”

He went on to nominate others to follow suit, including India captain Virat Kohli, and Australia team-mates Steve Smith, Pat Cummins, Joe Burns, Adam Zampa, Marcus Stoinis, TV personality Piers Morgan, and golfer Travis Smyth.
