Watch: KKR spinner Sunil Narine roared back to form with a crucial spell against Chennai Super Kings, snaring Ambati Rayudu and Moeen Ali in the same over to dent the home team’s middle order, during their IPL 2023 fixture in Chennai.

Until today’s match, Narine had taken just one wicket in his last nine outings for KKR. The solitary wicket against Gujarat Titans aside, he had a string of wicketless spells and no wickets in over a fortnight. That changed at the Chepauk Stadium.

Bowling against CSK, he first sent back Rayudu with an off break that the veteran India batter tried to sweep, only to see his stumps splattered.

Five balls later, it was Moeen’s time to go. The England all-rounder could do little as a carrom ball tied him to his crease, before sneaking through and rattling his stumps.

Narine finished with figures of 4-0-15-2, as KKR managed to restrict CSK to 144.
