Watch: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) captain Eoin Morgan took an excellent diving catch to dismiss his Chennai Super Kings (CSK) counterpart MS Dhoni in the closing stages of CSK’s innings during the 15th match of this season’s tournament.

At the time of Dhoni’s dismissal, CSK were well on their way to posting an imposing target for KKR. After a 115-run opening stand between Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis, Moeen Ali powered a 12-ball 25 to take CSK to 165-2 in the 17th over by the time Dhoni came to the crease.

Despite a scratchy first few balls, Dhoni rediscovered some form to race to 17 off seven balls. Off the last ball of the penultimate over – bowled by Andre Russell – Dhoni attempted to swat a wide, full ball from Russell through the covers towards the boundary.

Unfortunately for Dhoni, the England white-ball captain was stationed at cover where he took a sublime diving catch to his left.
