2020 T20 Blast: Middlesex team preview, fixtures & squad list
Here’s how Middlesex, the 2008 T20 Blast champions, who were outplayed in the quarterfinals last year against Nottinghamshire, shape up ahead of the 2020 edition.
Last year’s finish: Quarter-finals
Tournament history: Middlesex’s only tournament win took place under the leadership of Ed Joyce 12 years ago. They’ve not reached Finals Day since and suffered a crushing 10-wicket defeat to Nottinghamshire in their quarter-final clash last year.
Key player: Nathan Sowter. A quality wrist-spinner in T20 cricket is a valued commodity, and Middlesex have one in the Aussie-born Sowter, who took 16 Blast wickets at 28 last year.
