Where to watch all live streams for the first round of Bob Willis Trophy action as county cricket makes its return.
The first round of the Bob Willis Trophy began this weekend as first-class cricket made it’s long-awaited and highly anticipated return in the UK. The Bob Willis Trophy is this year’s replacement for the County Championship. A full campaign in the latter competition was not possible due to a season shortened by the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, there will be no promotion or relegation this year. Instead, three groups of six will compete for a place in a final at Lord’s.
While fans aren’t yet allowed to watch games in person, counties all over the country are providing live streams of their teams in action online. Counties have live-streamed games before, but not to the level that they are in 2020; several counties boast impressive multi-camera set-ups, where the footage is synced with the local BBC radio coverage. Surrey recently signed a deal with Facebook that will see their home fixtures broadcast live on their Facebook page.
Of the opening round of Bob Willis Trophy fixtures, the only game without a live stream is Lancashire’s game against Leicestershire at New Road.
