Watch: Ravindra Jadeja did not bother appealing and ran off in celebration immediately after a ball hit Kane Williamson’s pads on day five of the Kanpur Test between India and New Zealand.

Jadeja set off on an epic celebrappeal after getting the wicket of the New Zealand captain in the last session of the first Test match. The first delivery of the 70th over stayed low and hit the batter on the back pad as Williamson tried to go back into the crease to defend the ball.

Jadeja went up in celebration as soon as it hit Williamson, who did not bother to review the dismissal as New Zealand slumped to 128-6. The skipper, who made 18 off 64 in the first innings, was dismissed for a fighting 24 off 112 balls in the second innings.

The visitors, who were well placed at 79-1 at one stage, were rattled by the India spinners on day five as they look to chase 284 runs for a win. Nonetheless, they managed to hold out for a draw.
