Watch: Ravichandran Ashwin smacks a stunning six in Chennai, dancing down the track to deposit England’s Dom Bess into the stands.

Ashwin looked in top form on day four of the first Test, notching up a fifty-run stand with Washington Sundar in the first hour. The first boundary of his knock came in the 77th over, as he became the first player not named Rishabh Pant to hit a six in this innings. Ashwin was ultimately dismissed for a well-made 31, which included three fours and the six.

Bess has had an excellent game in Chennai so far, picking up four crucial wickets including Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Cheteshwar Pujara and Rishabh Pant. Ashwin, however, backed himself against the off-spinner, using his feet to hit him over long-on.
