Australia, Commonwealth Games 2022 gold medalists, travel to India for a T20I series to round off what has been a successful year. They have won 8 out of 11 T20Is in 2022, and will be keen on ramping up their preparations ahead of the 2023 T20 World Cup.

The India women’s cricket team, on the other hand, have won 13 out of their 20 T20Is, themselves enjoying a fruitful year that also included the Asia Cup title as well as a silver medal at CWG 2022. Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues and Shafali Verma have all been in form [400+ runs, 122+ strike rate]. Among bowlers, Deepti Sharma, Renuka Singh and Sneh Rana have picked up 62 wickets combined.

For Australia, Tahlia McGrath has been batting on a different plane this year: 289 runs @ 72.25, 3 fifties, strike-rate: 160.55. She’s also third among wicket-takers for Australia (12 wickets @ 12.20), a list led by Alana King (14 wickets at 13.78).

All five matches will be held in Mumbai: the first two at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, and the last three at the Brabourne Stadium. Matches will begin at 7pm local time.
