If you know a little about English ODI cricket in the Nineties, and hopefully you do if you’re taking this quiz, you’ll understand why we have to take a pretty loose definition of ‘most’.

Only 11 players scored more than 500 runs for England in the decade, so we’ve had to set the cut-off to 100 runs, which 34 Englishmen managed to clear. It’s a mark Sachin Tendulkar breached 24 times in a single innings in the 1990s.
